No revisionist history because I live through it, and remember loud and clear the immediate problems of the 3 strikes law and the mass incarceration of that PERIOD. Black people during that period was complaining about black on black violence and asked for the government to do something because the death rate in most urban cities were ridiculously high during those times. The crack epidemic was out of control. The gang migration was spreading from Cali to Midwest and beginning to linger into the East Coast. And it was being ignore, until it those problems were starting to infiltrate in the WHITE suburban homes and that's when the government wanted to take action and eradicate what Biden called "predators". Black Democrats were in support because those folks like C. Dolores Tucker were blaming so-called "gangsta rap" as the influence and held Congressional hearings in ways to eradicate hip hop and their message. So everyone was complicit and dismissing the FACT that this government were responsible behind everything. That the so-called "war on drugs" that they were promoting in front they were supplying and bringing into the hood in the back. And hip hop was the ONLY message that was telling it how it is.
This was perfectly expressed by Scarface and Cube back in '94
Without question he did which goes to show how SERIOUS you can't take ANY of those muthafucckaz... Doesn't matter if they are Democrat, Republican or in Bernie's case at that time "independent". I hope you understand that this issue IS NOT A PARTISAN thing. Blood is on everyone's hands, but Cube is the the sellout for calling out Democrats and their uncle Toms for being complicit and coming up with a bipartisan solution. Made that the Trump campaign propped it for clout, but not mad at Biden or the democrats for taking that effort. Instead Biden wants to use rap battles as ad campaigns to pander for clout and NOTHING is being checked on him on doing that.
