the fact he spoke up with nothing to show for it is the problem. if he shut the fukk up and got it done and was like this is what i got and this what we doing people saying it was fukked up wouldn't have a leg to stand on. now he one of trumps blacks.. directly or indirectly. the republicans are gonna use him day and night on foxnews, twitter etc etc etc etc etc and forget they even spoke after the election. if he even spoke to anybody besides an aide or something. here are the facts tho. he spoke to somebody they said a thing and he has nothing to show for it and he gonna feel it and defend it until something happens in his favor. He basically got the stringer bell season 3 treatment

This. Same thing for Kim Kardashian and Kanye. If it was TRUELY about getting the work done, we wouldn't know about it until the bill was signed. But not understanding that Trump would use him as a political prop to gain points with black folks shows his lack of understanding on the matter.
You can "work with anyone" for the right reasons, but if you don't understand the context your work is happening under then it might as well be c00nery. For real.

Cube is now going to be the face of black people "working across the aisle" and "coming together". Meaning ANY black person who opposes Trump's agenda is further demonized as ANTIFA, BLM brainwashed anarchists who want to burn down the suburbs and kill the police.

Chess...not....checkers....

shyt is crazy. You'd think he put on a MAGA hat and declared his undying alliegence to Trump. The vitriol he's receiving is ridiculous.
I think a lot of you underestimate the hatred a majority of black people have for Donald Trump and it is hate which is deserved. I would list all of the civil rights he is trying to roll back, him trying to eliminate the slavery discussion from public education, him not believing in systematic racism, him not thinking the police has a racism problem, thinking BLM is the real problem and not the police, etc etc. Ya'll know this stuff but for some odd reason it's just :manny: to many of you. Well i'm sorry but it's not just :manny: to most black americans, hence why Cube was trending #1 and black folks were taking a shyt on him. I know Tariq has put out the bat signal this week, so I know where most of the shyt in here is coming from though. God speed though brother.

Hell
I've seen

- I don't know why everyone hates Trump
- Trump was willing to listen and help
- Trump does not have any policies that directly affect blacks
- Trump passed the First Step act
- Don't be mad at Trump, be mad at the police.

Just to name a few. Also, the people who make these comments will be sure to say "oh yeah fukk Trump"

Because he's not a politician, he doesn't lie too well and it's many holes in his patterns.

The thing is the demos know they have us bug when it's time to do something it's targeted at the middle class mostly.

Trump gets support from the people who really out there in the hoods. Not much but more than any gop ever.

Also keep in mind he can do something and not make it too public. He's a rich off code white man who's too blunt and straight forward but black people can get him to do something.

Obama is too smart and he knows the game too well. You gotta keep black poor and when they upset you gotta make them feel good. Remember him signing AL green after roof killed 9 black folks in SC?

We know the drums won't do anything and the poc umbrella won't work for most of us. Like I said if you dropped a bag in the hoof who will get it.? Arabs and Jews got whole infrastructures in ghetto we just live there. I can't compete with someone with a much better structure than I have.

Common sense but most you dudes aren't relatable since you're used to symbolically coming together with people you don't love around.

But he was quiet

He spoke up because folks were calling him out

He got called out by the Republicans in a positive manner

He spoke up because he didn't want to be seen as a Republican supporter even though he's willing to work with them

The discussions are mostly meaningless during the general election cause Republicans have been pursuing the Southern Strategy for 54 years. That strategy hinges on the fact that the racist White vote is far larger than the Black vote. As Nixon's own political strategist said:

Republicans are never going to cater to Black folk seriously because their racist white base is far larger than any potential black vote. The most they'll do is pander occasionally to try to skim a few easy votes off the top. But they're bound only to make the slightest concessions, just enough that their racist white base knows they still have their backs. The Repulicans' primary engagement with Black voters is working to depress turnout.

So the leverage is with the Dems. But the Dems know that Black folk will never vote for Republicans who consider them avowed enemies. So there's only two ways to affect Dem policy.

#1. Voting for the most pro-Black candidates in the primaries. The Black vote is large enough that it can shift the Dem primary enormously. IF Black vote voted in the primaries, and aimed for the candidate with the most trustworthy pro-Black policies, it would make a huge difference in huge the nominee is.

#2. Punishing the Democratic Party with poor turnout when they don't put up a pro-Black candidate. Even though there's no threat to go Republican, the community can still use turnout as a threat.

The big problem this year was that both #1 and #2 got fukked up cause Black folk went for Biden in the primaries. :snoop:

Exactly bro,

This is why I think Ice Cube need to humble himself and admit his mistake & ignorance (as well as those with his same mindset). He got used.
Also, I don't think we need to be quite so harsh on Ice Cube, because I do believe he meant well.
Black Empowerment can't be bi-partisan if you're not willing to support both sides. Just like you can't say f*** Democrats & Republicans, but still will only vote/support Democrats.
full

But like I said previously, I feel like quite a few brehs want to vote/support Trump, but will definitely make sure they never say or admit it because they know it is c00nish. So you'll never hear them say "I'm going to vote for Trump".

Kanye because he’s the least of 3 evils.

Cube also said he would vote for Kanye. Wonder why he didn't reach out to him :mjpls:

Just some food for thought.

Pretty much. This forum is so militant against the Democratic party that they are not lock in step at all with regular black folks who understand the threat of Donald Trump. And I'm glad it's that way. They can stay on their fukk Biden and tangibles shyt while real black people are doing work in the streets.

They’re mamas and daddies are out voting , coming home looking at them in disappointment while they’re in their childhood bedrooms pouting about the world.
