Kanye is a true MAGA believer, however. He didn't go in as a neutral party and making an objective judgment on what he hears back from the White House. He seems to be really hung up on the abortion issue and as a result, has fully embraced Trump because he views the Democrats' embrace of abortion as evil. This is why he went along with Jarad Kushner's plan to help make him a spoiler candidate.
The flip side of the whole Trump and Kanye saga though, is that Kim and Kanye were able to get this guy to pardon individuals after discussions with him. You can make your own judgment if that reward is worth the cost but again, just talking to the man isn't a horrible thing.
I would be more concern if Ice Cube was visiting the White House and taking pictures with Trump before anything is finalized because then he will be giving up his negotiating power by doing that. This is still a carrot that Ice Cube can dangle in front of Trump during "negotiations". If nothing comes of it, just move on.

Its not about shame. Its about providing counter-evidence to a predictable response of Trump. Like I said, those HBCU presidents don't have the news media attention and don't have thousands of people who can easily see videos they upload to twitter or Instagram. Cube does. So, he has a pretty big megaphone, maybe not as big as Trump, but big enough. If Trump started tweet about how the "THE GREAT ICE CUBE SUPPORTS MY PRESDIENCY", all Cube has to do is record a video calling bullshyt with a tweet and whenever Trump and his minions decide to push that rhetoric, its easily rebutted using Cube's own words.You think Cube could shame Trump and get his base to turn on....

Going forward, opinions on the Cube situation is an easy way to decipher who to trust. We need to protect Ice Cube, because it will be open season on his character and maybe his life.

Republicans understand that some people have those concerns. Hell, they've had people in place to promote those notions. Any division can be magnified, and exploited. The age,gender, and class division is what's on deck now. It was ethnic origin when Kamala was still running for president. and Donald Trump's own son tweeting "what, Kamala is not Black American?"

It was interesting watching this discussion develop and unfold the past two years.
Republicans saw early how the topic could be used their benefit for 2020 election. Public support and private donations to those promoting their interests . They lent support when people were questioning Dem. candidates about reparations.
Democrats neutralized the issue coming up in 2020, with the candidates and most Dem. members of congress coming out in support of HR40 and Sen. Booker introducing the companion bill. At that point, serious advocates were going to lobby to get the OTHER votes needed to get the bill passed.
When that wasn't the response, and it went from "we want HR40" to nah, we don't like HR40 anymore", people's bluffs were called.
Instead of directing energy and resources to lobbying the elected officials who were DIRECTLY blocking progress for reparations.....the YTers punted.

Trump's plan is garbage if Cube added anything to it, he should WANT to take credit for it. He wouldn't be happy if he wrote and performed a hook for an artist and for that same artist to say the entire song is theirs.
