I think people are overthinking this. If I'm reading Cube correctly, he took his plan to both the White House and the Democrats. The White House took his input and implemented some of it within Trump's platinum plan initiative. The Democrats while cordial, pretty much brushed him off with the same ol people of color talk. I could be wrong.
Regarding the idea of working with Trump, at this point I don't agree with it. Said it before the only reason my position has changed is because Trump is not fit for office. This is the first time I've felt the effects of a presidency directly. Prior to him, my life was no different regardless of what party occupied the white house. That said, I don't entirely disagree with Black people exploring alternatives to Democrats at some point. Just not right now.
Say something else too, and this is probably controversial on here, but I don't have a problem with Black people who engaged Trump early in his presidency. At the end of the day it's about what you can do for me. I'm not overly concerned about whether you like me or I like you. It's about what can you do for me. Again with Cube, I think it's too late as the man has proven himself unfit and dangerous. In the early days, it would have been something worth considering.
