i didn't listen to the interview but the fact that he let lord finesse rep the rhyme syndicate shows that he respects real lyricists. he also tried to put smg(smooth and trigga), out there years after they first debuted. dude will always have my respect cause he was always trying to push some mc's and not just pre-manufactured rappers.:salute:
edit-i've always said tech is one of the best technical rappers even if i haven't felt his shyt since absolute power

Ice T use to say this type of stuff all the time when he was at the forefront of the genre. Back then people didn't always agree with a Ice t, ice cube, nwa, rakim etc but at least they had SOMETHING to say & that's what I took from what he was saying.

I look at the contrast of rappers he mentioned like a lupe & kendrick who were probably affiliated with gangs but never really considered themselves "street dudes" VS a guy like a plies who grew with similar circumstances but at one time had people believing he was a modern day bump johnson. Same can be said about wayne, I never seen so many rappers claiming blood, even the r&b singers are now...smh
