Not a knock to KAT to say that either. Embid is just going to be that good when it's all said and done. Imagine how advanced his game would already be if he didn't miss his first 2 seasons. Regardless if he stays healthy Joel will bring some sustained success to Philly down the line. He's in line to be one of the great ones and not even finished scratching his potential yet.
That's actually not unreasonable, Davis has been proven to be injury prone whereas Embiid's missed seasons were precautions(until proven otherwise).
Love Embiid's play but let's not act like he's a true rookie. He's 22 years old, and had years of skill development, regardless of playing time, he could not get if he was still at Kansas.
By the time a player is 22-23 we have a strong idea of what his career is like. So his play is what should be expected of a taller Hakeem with a jump shot as he was billed at the draft.
