KG v Duncan part 2, Towns will have the better numbers and prettier game but Embiid will have more impact on his team and the better overall career when it comes to wins and loses and playoff success. Its obvious Embiids impact on defense and his ability to still give you great offensive numbers and elevate his teammates level of play is more valuable than Towns 30, 40 point games where he's pedestrian on defense.

Embiid has a dominant/alpha mentality and Towns doesn't. Defense too, but that kinda goes hand in hand with mentality. We've seen Towns play good defense in spurts.

I think part of it is that Towns is kind of like Wiggins and Westbrook in that they have the physical profile of a good defender. And if you're not watching them on the regular you don't realize how bad they really are. Or people who only watch highlights where they make a flashy defensive play.

Speaking on strictly talent there's no one head and shoulders above KAT. He was playing good defense around December/January. He's definitely a capable defender. Offensively, he's one of the most efficient big men in a long time. Again, its Embiid's attitude/mentality that separates him. He wants to dominate every big man match-up and he brings it defensively every night.

KAT isn't really 7'0", I honestly think they should move him over to PF at some point because he's undersized compared to the true 7 footers like Gobert and Embiid -

He would be better at PF on both sides of the ball, as it stands he's a terrible defensive player having to guard the rim.
