destiny is literally an MMO with no social aspects barely any features no story and has guns. That's it. The itemization is in the bushes too because only a handful of guns are worth using. Anybody saying differently caping for the game

how do you know mmos are awful and never played one in your life? I played destiny and hated it so i van speak on it..Destiny is currently in the top 20 which ain't saying much on twitch when its getting beat by world of tanks last month if destiny stayed as huge like you say it would be in the mlg tourneys of some shyt or doing League of legend numbers. Interest and public opinion is changing for that game.. Destiny used to be much higher for a while but honestly the game is barebones and some psuedo MMO with no features when those facts came to light with the last xpack and the one before people left.


It was huge when it was for a moment before all the lies came out and people stuck with it because they were stuck with the 90 dollar edition that sold very well now that's about to be over soon.


Taken king won't do as well as the vanilla edition nor will the next xpack then destiny 2 will be announced or maybe they will start adding features they straight up lied about to gain interest again from fans who left because plenty left.




Destiny was popping for so long because it was hyped up as hell amd took forever for new content to release and most people bought the guardian edition or the digital season pass..

Never understood other peoples obession with people that play destiny but then will happily jump on battlefield/cod/halo and play 500 hours doing the same exact shyt over and over and over. Or jump on some open world game "filled with content" thats just the same fetch quests,collectathons and whatever bullshyt repeated ad nauseam.


ALL games are repetitive by nature. Its just a matter of how much you enjoy each individual game.


I dont buy dlc,never will. But destiny isnt the first game with dlc and wont be the last.

What multiplayer FPS games do you play and how long have you been playing them?

I'm in my 30's now, I had the first Atari, I've been gaming for a long time, The last multiplayer FPS game i played was advanced warfare but I'm getting tired of it..... I tend to stick to adventure-action /open world/ rpg games... witcher 3 , batman, i dont do MMO's cause there's no story mode basically it's like your doing the same thing over and over when you was guarding that little ghost from getting shot and traveling to other areas... Destiny was garbage to me... If the Division had a single player tradional campaign i would have brought it, but the minute they said it was like Destiny, Open World MMO / Persistant Online World I tossed that idea out the fukking window... MMO's are garbage and become really stale over time... And the fact they charging you out the ASS again for DLC of the taken king, WHICH YOUR BLINDLY PAYING FOR IS MINDBAFFLING...

But hey, it's your choice

that wasn't my point at all you could play anything you want. You could tell people you are a unicorn for all I care. Facts are facts bungie lied about features and I don't rock with them anymore. Destiny just has guns that's it its still a MMO by definition. Has xp Loot and sort of progression

The core game lacks content. Barely any story, not many maps, and if you don't get the DLC, you won't be able to do Nightfall/Heroic strikes some weeks. It's also nearly impossible to max out your character's armor and weapons without the DLC. It's really a low key subscription game.

The shooting is fun but the overpriced DLC and shady business practices may turn some people off. It's one of those games where you should wait a year or two for the final collectors edition before you pick it up.

Yeah, so you really shouldn't be speaking on this. Don't even know why I'm arguing with you about this.

I didn't follow the details leading up to the game's release at all. I got in the beta, I liked the gameplay, so I bought the game. That simple. I wasn't let down like you so I'm not gonna act butt hurt over the game. Regardless of the XP and Loot progression, the multiplayer is why I'm on the game like I am.

I'm willing to bet you're in shooters. You wouldn't understand how people can actually enjoy a shooter with good shooting/gameplay. Keep crying about the MMO aspect about a game that has a huge FPS multiplayer following.

The Division being compared to Destiny is probably the most off-base comparison I've seen on here and that says a lot. But whatever helps your argument

neverwinter, elder scrolls and ff14 are doing just fine. In fact because of those games you will be seeing more mmos on consoles.

neverwinter before endgame and pvp is good and the combat system is goood but I agree its the worst type of pay to win because the company backing it. Eso is raw and I'm loving it on ps4 but ff14 is goat atm MMO. Eso came a long away since last year. FF14 was three years ago before they fixed issues and relaunched eso did the same so I salute them for the fixes and the sub removal and no pay to win
