Not paradise at all, nowhere in the West is made for us to succeed :francis:

Americas racism is more overt but we don't have any of the good sides to AA culture like HBCU's or Middle Class Black communities. We're definitely at the bottom of the society.
To be more specific there's no real dialogue or ownership about racism in the UK.

The major parties can have hundreds of cases of racism that'll not just be ignored internally but the media never picks up on it.

What Nia Long said and what Idris Elba said were two completely different things.

both of them sound like weak ass cowards running from blackness

I never heard a black musician running away from blackness... because black musicians are the best in the game

theyre running from blackness because their product is weak

only a weak bytch seeks to integrate..... winners dont need to integrate.

And while nikkas wanna be on some xenophobic shyt and quick to attack any black folks from the UK, let's not forget John Boyega is openly vocal about being pro black and has even been attacked on social media for saying he only dates black women.

Carry on tho and get shyt off your chest some yall been wanting to say anyway.. :unimpressed:

I get what he's trying to say, but that's a perfect world scenario. It's easy to feel like that while you're the IT guy and white women are throwing themselves at you.

The moment his star fades...let's just hope he doesn't have any skeletons or he keeps his nose clean.

Pot meets kettle.

Big Dris is doing everything for that Bond role rather than focus on being himself. It’s just sad at this point.

Hopefully, they won’t give him the role if they decide to go with a black actor & give one of the younger Brits.

In true modern internet fashion, the headline is a lot worse than what he’s saying/what he means

By putting ‘black’ ahead of a title in certain cases THAT can be the insult and nggas don’t even realize

Denzel Washington said it best in He Got Game, Earl Monroe’s nickname was JESUS, ‘then the white media got a hold of it he couldn’t just be Jesus he had to be BLACK Jesus’

If the Grammys said Beyoncé has the most awards by a black artist, it’d be an insult. She has the most of ANY artist.

If people said Dave chapelle is the best black comedian of all time it’d be an insult. He’s the best comedian period.

If Idris Elba was named James Bond and folk called him the black James bond it’d be an insult: he’s James Bond.

That’s the energy of what he’s saying, but mfers are too small minded, to beholden to a victim mindset, too monolithic , too ‘ants in a jar still won’t get out when the cap is removed’ to view it that way

Exactly. Topics like this always bring the trash out. It is what it is.

If there was power, wealth, and prestige associated with "blackness" - everyone would claim it with pride

blackness is associated with negativity, failure, and poverty and thats why they run from it.

black musicians have no problem with it being called "black music" because everyone knows black music is running the industry

black music is associated with success.... gold, platinum, and diamond plaques.... its a source of pride.

black film is associated with fukkery, c00nery, and low budgets.
