When I say increased democracy we're talking:
-Eliminating all life time appointments. If you're a judge that was appointed by a president, you can only serve unelected as long as that president is in office. Once they're gone, you'll have to campaign and get voted back in by the citizens in your primary residence.
-Nationalization of some banks, and a degree of ownership in the biggest companies, so they have veto power in any decisions being made by the board.
-Massive anti-union busting legislation to make it far easier for employees to unionize.
-A requirement that companies exceeding a certain market cap should ensure at least 30% of its employees have shares.
-Changes to campaign financing. You can only be funded by people who live in your district and cannot recieve an individual political donation that exceeds the national average yearly salary.
-Juries of experts randomly selected to investigate all employers to ensure that they're requesting and accepting employee feedback.

Your workplace is not democratic, and that has an important and IMMEDIATE impact on your life. You get no say in which departments are eliminated. No say in whether a problematic manager or CEO is fukking up the brand and your company's value. No say in how much money you should get when the company continues to shatter its records.
