I keep hearing these drivers say that she shouldnt be viewed as a girl, she should be viewed as just another driver. I agree with that. She put herself out there with men so she's gotta deal with the rules, she probably realizes that.

I definitely think there would be outrage simply because good driver or not, she is still a girl in a guys sport even that actor guy caught a little criticism for his "Drivers and Danica start your engines" command, you can't tell me if Danica gets her car bumped and she flies off the track the driver won't be killed for it (in the media). Luckily diehard Nascars fans would love it so the story would die pretty quick unless Danica started crying or something.

I was watching this morning and that Brad Keslowski guy said, "I dont see her as a girl...I see her as than 30th place driver I'm competing against" LOL

Danica isn't the terrible driver that some are making her out to be. You can't be terrible and unfit and finish 8th at Daytona. She was near the lead from beginning to end. They have given her quality equipment but you still have to go out there and race. She's just discussed at length. That's the issue. ESPN gives her the Yankees, LeBron, Peyton Manning treatment in terms of coverage. She's probably an average driver but far from being "unfit to be on the track"
