Depending on the charges and record sealing requirements for the state, you may be able to get your record sealed. It was the best thing that happened to me cause I definitely couldn't be where I'm at now with the felony on my record.

I see alot of former convicts doing construction and temp agency jobs.

I have a record felony and dui it was hard to get jobs. I started at the bottom mostly temp jobs and warehouse. Stack my money and kept looking for better jobs. I luck out and got a job at a real state company handing out flyers and doing maintences. Now I work in the promotions department. Also starting my own moving company. It's nothing major now but It's getting better. It's probably best for you to find something where you can start your own business. Find someone who can take you under there wing and grow. That's what I did for the moving company. I'm doing my own thing plus still work with him when he gets job. I don't know how many interview I want to and the manger never gave me a chance cause of my record. You can tell when someone really wabts to hire you. Find something to stack money than keep looking. It's been a long 7 years but life's getting better. I also went to school during this time but its a waste for me however every situation is different. Good luck

Background checks are just another way to legally victimize the black community through hiring discrimination. White convicts have zero problem finding jobs. The levels to the obstacles white supremacy puts before black people in America are staggering, enough to make you hate every single one of them. And people wonder why they love their guns.

There is so much opportunity because of the internet these days it's not even funny. :blessed:

GRANTED...it's not easy and there may not be an immediate payoff, but there's a whole lane with (I would assume) hundreds of thousands of Americans who are in this position who are looking for guidance.

You can create a huge platform using free platforms (youtube, IG, Facebook, podcast) and become the #1 voice for reformed prisoners looking for guidance, encouragement, relatable content, etc. and make a ton of money once you capture an audience...and all you have to do is be honest about your situation. Talk about your ups and downs, document going to job interviews etc.

Gotta get into construction or trades. A lot of trades that work in people’s homes do background checks howerever. Also depends what the charges are. A lot of drug offenses are overlooked.

Get a cdl a lot of trucking companies don’t give a fukk! Dump truck drivers is an easy gig and you will make at least $150 day.

You can get a lawnmower an old pickup and start your own lawn biz.

Buy a pressure washer and hustle cleaning sidewalk, siding and roofs.

I know a dude that has felonies that has a pickup truck and does house clean outs and junk removal. He hustles though he will even move furniture. He places ads all over craigslist and makes about 100-300+ a day.
