How is your coding journey going?
It’s still going. Went from learning JavaScript to Python. I switched it up because its uses appealed to me more. I only learned the basics of JS but it stuck with me. It also helped with learning Python (which is a lot easier to learn)
I originally wanted to get into coding to find a job in that field. But my goal changed back in January. Instead of trying to get hired, I decided I want to build my own application and/or website.
I got a few ideas. One in particular is an app, that already has a market with well known competitors. But they don’t have certain features.
However, one of them was built with JAVA and the others use C++. The syntax for Java doesn’t look that complicated. C++ on the other hand would take longer to learn.
Once I get my skills up, I’m probably going to try and find someone to collaborate with. But I’m going to stick to mastering Python for now. Then double back to JavaScript, then React.
I also chose Python because I want to incorporate machine learning and AI into my projects. Which means I’m going to have to touch algorithms and data structures. There’s so much I want to learn

but I’m getting there. I put in about 3 hours per day.
