It honestly wouldn't make too much difference which party the politician is. The conspiracy theories would just be a different flavor.
But I think everyone would've been charged more harshly, the ones that survive the response that is. Because that White House would've been surrounded way quicker once the word got out. And Trump wouldn't have been able to do the matrix with the law like he has been.
Far Right GOP would basically be seen as a terrorist party because a small but vocal amount of them would still double down after calling whoever did the killing a member of Antifa/BLM.
Politicians themselves, of all parties, would quickly increase security for themselves and reduce public exposure.

maybe it would be the start of these govt agencies start focusing ALL their attention on these white groups and start cracking down hard...

And what party is pushing the idea that White Supremacist groups are not a threat? During his presidency, Trump deemphasized the Federal focus on white supremacist groups. MTG has attended their rallies. Tommy Tuberville had to be pushed in to saying that White Nationalism is a bad thing.
So why don't you focus your ire on the Republican party that actively pushes the ideas that these groups are not a serious threat?

If Pelosi or Pence died, the military probably steps in and ends it with a lot more Ashli Babbitts. Trump probably gets removed from office that night and the DOJ doesn't drag their feet. Those two are in the presidential line of succession and it's an immediate threat to national security. Any other normal politician dies and things probably move at the same speed they did 2 years ago.
this would have incited the MAGAs even more. They would've claimed the deep state and antifa killed either one of them in order to blame it on 'lawful' dissenters and Trump. IMO that would've meant more mass shootings from so-called white males with manifestos, claiming minorities were trying to steal the country .
