I mean what good can people like The Game or YG do? Dudes are promoting groups that are among the biggest threads to the black youth. So really, if those type of people are acting like they care I just can't believe it.

At least Ross is acknowledging it regardless of how minimal you may think this is.

It IS crazy how they [may] think it will hurt their corporate $$ if they speak up or/and in depth on issues like this when in reality, it won't and would open doors to new avenues, fans, etc. Look at how beneficial it was to Cole's career when he got waist deep in the Fegurson situation.

That said though, I don't think just rappers need to speak on what's going on, I think everyone with influence and fame and money needs to speak on it, just on a human level I can't see how anybody of any color can see the insanity happening out here and not use their voices to condemn it vehemently.

reading this post I honestly want to make a thread about it, its completely on point....and its true, I love hip hop like many of us do...have for over 20 years....but its a terrible influence on most kids today and its sad
