Haitians are no different from the Ashanti, Dahomey, Kongo, Igbo, Mandinka, Zulu, etc

I feel like the Haitian Revolution overshadows the several military engagements that occurred on African soil.

For example, The Kongo people defeated the Portuguese and stripped them naked.

The Zulu murdered over 1,000 British men in a single day.

The Haitian/French battle was just an extension of what was happening back in Africa since the 1500s.
