Well I wouldn't go as far as to say that we will go extinct as a species once we can tap into our full intellectual potential, it's likely not definite. What I'm wondering is what if these aliens just have greater intellectual capability than we do? What if there wasn't ever any catastrophic events that happened on their planet that could cause them to go extinct or encounter any kind of dark age? And they don't even have to be super humans they could be identical to us even our intelligence but if they got all of the time that their planet has been in existence to develop then they could really enlighten us or easily destroy us.
Question might be why would they want to do either?

Same reason why America invades and exploits weaker countries. Maybe they would've advanced passed that whole "conquer the world" attitude that humans (or maybe just white people?) have. This is just conversation that I'm having on my lunch break btw don't mind me sweetie.

It's really a hopeful outlook to think we'd be vastly less intelligent and tech savvy than our alien neighbors
The picture you're painting is literally a best case scenario for another life form
A Perfect planet, with no catastrophic events that houses a civilization long enough to teleport across the galaxy
It's more likely we'll find exceptionally complex bacteria at this rate we're going
But nobody wants to approach this topic like that because, well, bacteria is boring
No, no hate or nothing, i'm a friendly. I'm just asking why would they even bother with us considering our behavior. Unless they're the mother plane that the Prophet referred to.
