I am fascinated by how so many of our people will acknowledge that mainstream media has played a major part in our social conditioning but perceive rap as an exception. It makes no sense. Listening to ANYTHING reptitively will have an effect on your sub conscious and trap rap is no exception. Its unfortunatr that this music has extremely self destructive messages.
Countering the effect this music (which is social conditioning whether you acknowledge it or not) has on the minds of our children will be one of our peoples greatest challenges.

This is a Hip Hop forum first and foremost. I still don't understand why people are surprised Hip Hop lovers don't see anything wrong with the music they listen to and love lol.

Because the vast majority of the posters here are BLACK and "waking up". I don't know if YOU are black but the rest of us are becoming more conscious and knowledgeable of past history and the tactics of white supremacy. It becomes harder to listen to "kill a n1kka", "shoot a n1kka", "young n1kka move that dope" type songs the more conscious you become.

My own personal opinions about modern-day hip-hop came about because of me gaining knowledge of past history. Study blackface/Minstrel Shows:

Study about the 1915 film The Birth Of A Nation that painted the black man out to be violent, dangerous rapists. Study how Hitler used a "media propaganda" campaign for years against the Jews before the physical extermination. Study how "media propaganda" was used to criminalize/demonize the black image during the "War On Drugs" campaign of the 80s.

You can love hip-hop and also see things for what it is. I absolutely LOVE hip-hop, been listening to it since 93 from what I can remember, but I also have an understanding of past history. Hiphop is without a doubt being used as a weapon against the black mind and also the black image/reputation. Its being used to tell the world that blacks (the black male specifically) are dangerous, unintelligent, irresponsible and overall inferior.

If you are black I suggest you pick up a book and learn your history.

Not saying all blacks are dumb and blindly follow the themes of hiphop (most of us don't actually) , but if you deny that there are those out there that do, you're sadly mistaken. This music is aimed at those people.
