Twice the HB Bettis was.
Ehhhh. What the stats look like.
Does he have over 11,000 yards rushing.
He does, just past it at 11241. He might be HOF worthy if he hung on longer like Bettis.Does he have over 11,000 yards rushing.
In a 13 year career, Bettis had four seasons of 4.0 ypc or higher. Corey Dillon had seven seasons of a 4.0 ypc or higher over the course of a ten years career. Not one time did Dillon ever average less than 3.5 ypc over the course of an entire season. These were both power back, with Dillon being able to break it loose as well.
Bettis had two seasons (this shocks me) of double digit rushing TD's. Corey Dillon had five season's of double digit rushing TD's.
Bettis has a 2,000+ more yards than Dillon, but also played a few more seasons. I can't use longevity as a knock on Bettis, but Dillon not having a higher amount of yards in large part is due to him not playing as long.
Bettis had a decent playoff career, but I think Clock Killin' Corey Dillon had a better playoff career, and a was a major reason why the Patriots won in 2004.
You win. I agree with OP. Politics is a bytch though. In a 13 year career, Bettis had four seasons of 4.0 ypc or higher.
