You’re skirting around the main issue here and trying to confuse the conversation. Hilary lost because she was a bad candidate with not enough turnout overall, much less in the black male demographic.

This isn’t about polling. Do you live in GA? I don’t ask that to be facetious but really want to know if you’re speaking from outside looking in or not. Stacey Abrams has a loyal base that WILL turn out for her especially in Metro ATL. Kemp is a pseudo Trump republican who basically will run on his asinine policies of guns for all and racism. We know who is voting for him, the x-factor in this race is and has always been black participation and turnout. That’s a fact and no amount of juelzing about reality will change that.

I can appreciate the point about things changing every election but they don’t change that much and especially not in Georgia right now. It’s ridiculous to suggest we treat black people like they have to have their feelings kept in tact in the event she loses. What policies that she isn’t running on already will get black males to come out btw? The assertion that blacks don’t have enough to gain in this already via her policies already is laughable, much more so when you compare them to what Kemp is offering.

First, polling did have Hillary winning the election.

Second, no I do not live in Ga. I can look at the US census though and see the demographics of the state. Those demographics show that even if all Black men and Women voted for Stacy Abrams, she could still lose. I did not say she will lose, I actually admitted that she would have a better chance or even far better chance of winning of Black men all support her. My point of contention is this idea that Black men will be the only determiner of her winning the election. That is an outright falsehood, and opens the door to them brothers down there being blamed for her loss if she does lose.

Third, stagnation is still always a past event. We have gone through a darn attack on the capital in an attempt to get the election results removed. Now their master is coming up on charges. Do you not think that will rile of the White people in Georgia to vote more? I think it will. It will also rile up Black people to vote more too. Still even with all of that, either side could win or either side could lose. Nothing is certain, and placing all of that burden and future blame on those brothers down in Georgia is BS. Let's be honest, if she looses Black men in Georgia will be blamed and think pieces made about our brothers down there will crash the internet and cause a run on ink stock prices.

From an economic standpoint, Kemp has the state of Georgia in good financial position, he’s lowkey buddy buddy with the Atlanta Mayor and he didn’t bend the knee to Trump during his election fraud nonsense which garnered a lot of respect from independent voters here in the state. I don’t see him losing the election.

Can’t use abortion against him since we are in the Bible Belt anyway. Froze the gas tax, issued refunds to citizens, approved promised pay raises to state employees, etc..only thing you can probably get him on is the lax gun laws.

I agree that Kemp is in a strong position but black voters need to stand in their moment and rise to the occasion and change this state. The New South must change the dialogue.

People don’t understand the bolded bc they don’t live here. All they do is spout talking points. Kemp did just enough to keep people voting for him or staying home by distancing from Trump and signing several relief programs. I’m not voting for buddy but he’s got a lot more than just conservative cac voters several “moderate” and “independent” voters will be voting for him cac or noncac.
