Haven't seen a single person retort this or explain the discrepancy beyond "lol that man is gay." Do I think Abrams is running a weak campaign? Sure. But at the end of the day she could be running an amazing campaign and still be down 5.5 points, like she is right now, due to the hand democrats are dealt: a wildly unpopular democrat president, a faltering economy, high inflation, and fears - some real, some imagined - over all types of issues (crime, immigration, etc). Compounding this is the fact that she's running in a traditionally red state. Yea democrats won it in 2020, but it's 2022 now.
The fact that Warnock is barely ahead of Hershel should tell you that a normal, white republican would be beating him right now. Meaning that the only reason this thing could end up being a split ticket is because republicans decided to run a CTE victim/dead bead dad who paid for women to have abortions.
We've got two camps attempting to put black men in the blame game conversation, but on different sides. If Abrams loses there will be people claiming it's because she didn't speak directly to black men - a lie. And then on the other side if Abrams loses there will be people in HER camp claiming it's because black men didn't support her - a lie as well. She's gonna get at least 80% of the black male vote, this has nothing to do with us and everything to do with Biden, a southern state, the economy...and a strong republican governor who has largely avoided mistakes despite having Trump out to get him.
