Black men and Black won’t n did their job to try to get her elected. White women and whitewashed Latinos were the problem. It’s a total myth that Black men weren’t behind her (and other candidates), but unfortunately, that myth was pushed by a certain segment of Black women — the ones with septum rings and underarm hair that sleep with confederate flag-waving white men.

It was pushed by Stacy Abrams too, and that last statement before the election about Black men being misinformed and misled.

From what I've seen Abrams don't even seem like a bad person. Not a very good politician, but not a bad person

But her base is doing her NO favors. Trying to browbeat and gaslight nikkas into unquestioned devotion with no reasoning outside of "because I'm just smarter than you and I know what's best" They're worse than Eminem fans

It's incredible that all logic goes out the window with political discourse when the entire foundation of politics is built on "you catch more flies with honey"

Isn't that the same reason black people were so angry at Joe Biden during the last presidential election? It's sad how little respect black men are shown as being autonomous human beings capable of having a wide variety of opinions on a vast variety of things.

I don't keep up with Georgia politics or Stacey Abrams but from the articles I've read and the videos I've watched, she's being condescending to black men (even if she really does have what she thinks to be our best interest.in mind). And there isn't anything a black man hates more than to be told what to think or feel.

Nope. Kevin spoke to everyone the same and even then, at times, he was making an example of people for other people to see. He had a take it or leave it stance in regards to his advice since it did not impact him whether or not you did. You don't have that luxury if the republicans are truly as bad as you claim they are yet instead of reassessing your approach, you are doubling down and ignoring all that should be done to fix the problem. This is what's baffling to everyone. It's the height of stupidity and it is beyond baffling that anybody, let alone people in your own community that have to say this.

Call me when the democrats talk down to other groups the same way you guys talk down to black men. This is what gets me. It has been shown that the other groups are the ones not voting blue in increasing numbers yet you will ignore them aggressively. If your approach is fine, then go to those groups and pull this same bullshyt with them. You won't because you know it will blow up in your face.

I say all this as someone who wanted Abrams to win but is not surprised she didn't. Honestly, I feel like many of her supporters like you, as you are doing now, were a detriment to her campaign because she tried to speak to black men at times like a normal person and proper politician yet many of the people around her were full of shyt and tried to bully people into voting for her, nullifying much of what she said or her attempts at civility.

You and your lot have a problem and you are doing nothing to fix it because all your bullshyt is doing nothing helpful. If the republicans being in power is a death sentence, then by all means, continue to pass blame instead of fixing things. You get to be dead and blameless instead of alive and actually winning. The current shyt you are doing now has been tried over and over and it is obviously not working or Abrams wouldn't have lost all those times, especially this time, unless something else is to blame at which point, then go and fix that instead of being useless here.

Exactly. They want black men erased and in the back of the line unless it’s time to blame us. I wish Abrams had won because she’d obviously be the better choice but there’s a lesson here. You cannot win elections while deliberately attempting to create division amongst black men and women. Meanwhile they gave zero smoke for the white women who constantly vote against black interests.

I remember in 2017, after the election, it was pretty common to hear black woken on twitter pointing out that most white women voted for Trump. There was a famous picture of a black women holding up a sign that said it, at the big women’s march that year. Since then that criticism has been stuffed out and replaced with denigrating black men. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.
