I came to say the same. Part of the reason why whites are going crazy(ier) these days is b/c the promises of white privilege aint paying out. Elite whites keep dumb poor whites on social lease, exchanging validation for reverse redistribution of wealth back to the top 3 percent. Whites get to feel good and some get a head start while they watch their middle class disappear and become economically raped. But as long as they can scapegoat blk faces for their failures, that’s an acceptable exchange. Because the very fabric of their identity is wrapped up in mythos of other racial groups inferiority vs any real value they have themselves. Without an underclass, they implode.

This ignores that the biggest platforms to whip white people into Red die hards are the wedge issues (guns, god, abortion) and the bogarting of patriotism. Everything that has happened to negatively affect working white Americans was also approved by republicans. Reps will think taxation and immigration is why they cant work one job and take care of a family anymore without looking at how top rate taxation has fallen, actual taxes pid from the too has also fallen, ceo pay has went up, unions were gutted following the Reagan revolution, offshoring was majorly encouraged, big business interests routinely engage in wage theft and hiring illegals to flatten wages, etc.

When you say they do something for them, what you mean is the rich white get sweetheart deals and poor white republicans get to say “Well at least I have a job” while their quality of life erodes but their god and guns will keep them afloat.

Take 5 minutes to look at Gofundme and see how many of these patriotic “do for self” whites and trying to figure out how to pay for medical and funeral costs related to covid while they live in bottom 20% education states with shyt infrastructure.
