Unquestionable credibility, influence and guest appearances on demand, beats ready, and a huge movement behind him

Streets on Lock is a personal classic

Did he have a chance to be on year one jeezy/gucci status?

nope. bleu was terrible but streets on lock was a banger. So many BMF nikkas that rap and they picked him to back after jeezy had to distance himself from the click he rode to the top( jay told him to) they wouldve been better off just fully backing fab

and bmf didnt fall quickly. Feds was working on catching meech and 'em for 10 years

I meant quickly from the time that bleu came out.

And thats fair...i expected a Benzino/mademen type album where bleu was doing generic rapping with 2 cameos on every song on five star beats....but a hit album

I always felt ROCCETT who was in the CTE camp and an offical BMF member was the most talented cat to rep the movement:

I know benzino/made men are kinda thought of as a joke, but their production team, hangmen3, was dope.

I cant really get into it but,

that label was around for a while before bleu and after bleu popped up. They had ample time to make something happen. Thing was that "label" really never existed until the feds was knocking at the door. Then it became a "label"....who coincidentally had all the positions filled by D-Boys trying to explain to the IRS how they own a phantom and ferrari and have no W-2. If they really wanted to do something with music they would've had it handled by professionals. Bleu wanted to be a rapper and he was down with the squad so he started making "BMF anthems" so Meech turned him into the "flagship artist". BMF was making 250 mil a year tax free, if they wanted to do music they would have.

Fact of the matter was bleu wasnt really good. They would've ended up buying his way onto your radio and TV and we've all seen rich nikkas try to force people to like them. It comes off unauthentic.

But to answer the question of the thread, Naw... Bleu was never buzzin out west like that.

not even an ATL backing would've made him hot in LA.
