Not gonna lie but Toronto seems like a peaceful place. Never been but black folks I've interacted with on forums and social media all seem happy. Their biggest complaints is the cold

Toronto Police have killed two black men in 2015 on dubious premises. Jermaine Carby and Andrew Loku.
Black Canadians protest. White Canadians ignore it, put their fingers in their ears and whisper to themselves, "We are multicultural" ad infinitum.

Carding was recently banned in Toronto. And, anyways that's your friend. We do not share the same lived experiences.
I wouldn't say Catholic. Christianity is the main religion here, but Canada is secular state. Canada doesn't have the US version of "bible belt" .
