I said players in general . There are guys who had better college careers than lin and performed in the tournament yet dont get drafted. And lins main fascination was that he was Asian :dwillhuh: he is whining ! This is like the 5th interview hes said similar things .How can he come to the conclusion it was discrimination ?? Isn't it more likely he was overlooked

If you're claiming that teams only looked at him because he was Asian, then he WAS overlooked, because if they paid attention to what he did on the court, he would have gotten much more respect than he did, which is his point. Him being Asian was a disadvantage since no one really took him seriously as a basketball player.

Now he's getting asked these questions and has always answered it the same way. Why are you mad at the answer he's giving? If anything you need to be more frustrated as to why people continue to ask him this stuff.

He would be Chris Copiashi and there would be mad asians at knicks games with fake dreadlock wigs holding up signs that read "Copsanity"

And I guess the NBA never gave him a shot because he's too light skinned :rudy:

I'm tired of this fukking chink trying to $$$$ off of his race. Don't know body give a fukk about this nikka. And CAC embrace him as their own even though they had a superstar in Kevin Love that they never gave any to.

His publicist sets up these questions :wtf: you want me to believe that he doesn't know what will be discussed? His friend wrote a article for sports illustrated hinting at racism as the reason he wasn't brought back to the Knicks .
And again you can find 1000s of cases of people getting overlooked but lins own highschool coach didn't think Lin was that good
"Never did he believe he was coaching an NBA player when he had Lin in high school. ("No, no, no," he says.) And when no big-time program -- not even Stanford, the one across the street -- thought enough of Lin to offer him a scholarship, Diepenbrock really didn't have a problem with that.
"I wasn't sitting there saying all these Division I coaches were knuckleheads," Diepenbrock says. "There were legitimate questions about Jeremy."
Peter Diepenbrock never expected to be watching Jeremy Lin light up the Lakers.
Diepenbrock starts to say something else, then stops. "I already got in trouble with Jeremy for saying this, so I probably shouldn't," he says. Then, a few seconds later, he says, "Oh, what the hell. I'll say it anyway and get in trouble twice: Jeremy was not a good practice player." He's playing the damn sympathy card . He wanted to get drafted or get scholarship offer off intangibles huh :ohhh:

but coming out of HARVARD, he got looks from Houston and Golden State. he trying to act like he was ballin like Chris Paul or some shyt and teams just didn't give little ol him a shot because he was asian. If he was THAT nice, he would've stuck. His game obviously evolved/improved by the time he started playing meaningful minutes with the Knicks and he wasn't a rookie. Everything this this kid is overrstated which makes his game overrated. He should just go around and sing all praise due Harden, for wanting that max Contract because he would've been exposed something terrible if houston didn't pair him with a guard like that.

He could know it. Doesn't mean anything, unless you simply want Jeremy Lin to turn into a mute (which I guess is the point of the thread) The irony is that outside of this forum, Lin's really been under the radar for someone who had inescapable attention just a year ago.

So talk about his friend, not Lin, unless you're now gonna say Lin is authorizing these guys to ask and write about these particular things, which is not true.

As for the 60 Minutes segment, are we now gonna say his publicist forced Charlie Rose to lob these questions up for Lin? :usure:

That was just it. Even Lin himself has said that if you watch him once, he doesn't do anything that jumps out, yet everytime he played, he put up numbers and got W's. Is Lin the first player to be in that position? No. Is Lin the first Asian American to be in that predicament? Can't recall another situation like his to be honest. Fact is, Lin was doing really well yet people were still unconvinced. Being Asian he claims played a role in that and in reality, it's hard to deny that.

One problem you're not getting. He wasn't an intangibles player.

Something tells me none of y'all actually saw the 60 minutes piece.

And I still fail to see this connection to Chris Copeland

You didn't watch the piece AT ALL and you still have the nerve to come to a conclusion on what he said  He insinuated the opposite.
