Technology wouldn't have been advanced enough for the covid vax to come out as quickly as it did,
but on the other hand...Covid conspiracies wouldn't have spread as much as it did due to the internet not being as advanced as it is today.

Much much better. Our society wasn't nearly as divisive back then. And there was no social media to spread misinformation. Wearing masks and vaccine mandates wouldn't have been made such a big deal.

I agree that there were less social media echo chambers.

But misinformation was spread through regular in-personal social channels, and groups like the NOI would likely have taken an anti-vaxx stance with a much larger national audience. The Clinton Administration *probably* wouldn't have fumbled the national response as badly as the Trump Administration did - but fresh off the heels of the HIV/AIDS crisis - plenty of stupid skeptical people would have been dogmatically rejecting the information.

Its hard to say for certain.

Interesting question. I honestly don't know. I think people were more level-headed then and would've taken the whole thing more seriously. Also people were travelling less then so even the initial spread of the disease would've been slower. On the other hand it probably would've taken more time to develop a vaccine, and if we went into lockdown with no internet to keep people busy/working there might've been more social unrest.

Reaction to the virus would have been way more dramatic I think with ppl being legit scared. It took like a whole decade for ppl to fully understand how HIV worked. Def think the majority of America would have been rocking masks just out of fear
