But black men, not Denzel, have been saying this or something similar for years now.

Every single, black male actor has been asked (directly or passively) if he likes white women. And they always fall for the bait. The response is typically, “I love all women.” White men are NEVER asked this question. I personally think that the question is racist

One of our biggest movie stars, Will Smith, has stated that he wanted to cast non black women as his love interest for a broader audience (Hitch). Did he even realize that he was taking potential jobs from black women? That’s not the way black representation & support works!! Meanwhile, I haven’t seen Will with a black love interest since.

You're not telling the whole truth. Notable black men actors have not been saying there should be more BM/WW relationships on screen for years. Don't give the usual rappers example because you know we are not talking about that. Like someone said on the first page you can't name 5 great black actors who said something like this.
Now what about the likes of Regina King, Nia Long, Viola Davis now, Halle berry, and plenty of black women actresses who pushed for other black women to get in the swirl even though some of them have/ or had black husbands and children :wow: ?

In fact when has a black woman actress ever said she wouldn't kiss a white man onscreen like Denzel Washington did with white women ?

And what I’m saying is that black men may not have direct quotes like Viola, but they showcase similar interest in other ways, as noted in my previous post.

We always get the “white women wanted me when black women ignored me” sob story. Then when we ignore these swirling members altogether, we get blamed for their projects flopping. The latter is particularly ironic b/c they never blame the white community or the white women that they love for these failures.

I personally disagree with any black person (man or woman) begging for white acceptance. It’s just pathetic. But I think some black women feel like they are on their own so they do or say what they have to to secure their position in society. I don’t agree with this method but I understand how they got there.

The Typical Bu Bu Black men. You know who the pioneers of swirling are. I hate to take it there but stop with the deflecting.

Black men who tell these sob stories are not numerous and they aren't supported by anyone, Taye Diggs is the only example I can think of what you described and everybody is dragging his ass for it.
We can't compare this with renown black actresses clearly pushing for more IR relationships ( with white men most of the time ) even though there are already plenty of them on medias, it's nothing new and the poster above proves it. And I repeat some of these actresses have black husbands with black children too. I still haven't heard several famous black men with black spouses say the same thing.

You're deflecting the issue ( and excusing it a bit too :mjpls: )

Well.. first of all it isnt true. Secondly, men and women arent treated the same socially.

For women, being seen as beautiful and being desired, being valued and protected is a huge part of femininity. Which has been historically stripped from black women. Black women in this country are stereotyped and portrayed as sexual objects to be used and discarded, workhorses and warriors to live, work, fight and provide for their boss, for their children and for their family, or sassy/angry/aggressive sidekicks or antagonists. (Especially, compared to their white/light counterparts)

Black women being seen as beautiful and desired universally isn't a bad thing. And why should it be, if any other woman can be a love interest to a male lead and it is seen as common sense because her beauty is undeniable and not like they only reason someone could possibly find her attractive is because of some ploy or because she is being fetishized.

It implies that Black women can not be seen as the most beautiful and there has to be an explanation if she is desired. Similar to when people ask if a beautiful black women is mixed with something else to explain her beauty.

At the end of the day, it should be a no brainer that our women are gorgeous, intelligent, feminine and valued because we should have respect and pride in our women. We should boast about and compliment our women so that even if we see them paired with non black men in the media we dont feel threatened or insecure because they feel happy at home.

There is no problem with black women wanting to feel more desired, that's the case for every race of woman.
But black women don't feel desired unless a white man ( and really white men, rarely others races ) validates them. Black women are desired by most black men but I know for some black women that's not what they truly want.
And I don't agree with you on that last sentence, even though I don't really care like that about seeing BW in IR relationships on TV I don't think black men have any reasons to feel prompted to compliment them for it. If BW want to do it then I don't care but black men shouldn't be pushed to support it. No race of men do that in the first place.

@Dynamite James @Falcozer - It’s very difficult for me to take these complaints seriously, when black men collectively marry out at 2x the rate of black women. I personally would love to see how the marriage stats shift if we correctly identified biracials as biracials.

Basically, y’all need to sweep around your own front door before approaching black women about this white worship issue.

Black men marrying out at twice the rate is somewhat of an old statistic now, aren't people saying black women marrry out more these last years ?
Besides, stats doesn't show the amount black women fukking with other races of men do they ? We can't judge ' loyalty ' from marriage statistics. For all we know there could be more black women involved in IR relationships without getting married. Last time I heard people don't fill out a survey before fukking or dating someone of another race.

Nobody is saying black men don't have white worshipping issues, the problem is that many black women pretend they have none when it's obviously the case. This week alone we had several stories of black women being involved with white supremacists, and having children with them too. Things like this happens more often than some of y'all would like to believe.

Lucky they don’t keep stats for who people fukked and dated.

Guarantee shyt would be much closer if not more.

Maybe more anglo women do not mind marrying a male descendant of Africa. Maybe anglo males are less likely to marry a female descendant of Africa.

Can’t say that so you have to find a way to blame the African man to not see the elephant in the room.
