I think Drake’s attachment to Young Thug et al has been one of the biggest mistakes ever. He did TOO MUCH shyt with Future. He didn’t build his own sound for his own region. He needs a definitive sound that reflects The North.

While I do Drake would have benefitted more artistic from have his own defined style, I'm not quite sure he has the chops or vision to make this type of music palatable to the masses.

I do think more dudes who are already on should take more chances, its a lot of unexplored shyt that if given the right budget could be ridiculous. Witch house comes to mind.

Realistically Drake is popular to attempt some artsy fartsy avant garde shyt and it get elevated a couple levels just for him trying.

but hes not a real artist, hes a product. so its no reason to expect him to try something like that.
