If Drake was really as popular as he perpetuated to be … Why was there no public outcry or voice of support?

The problem is that Drake brought this completely on himself. If he was attacked unprovoked he would've had more backers. But he sat there cried wolf "drop drop drop drop drop you taking too long blah blah" then ran when the wolf actually came. A cowardly act no one respects on a fundamental level, even if you love his music.
He was attacked unprovoked

This is definitely disingenuous. Everybody was gassing those garbage ass disses 6-16 in LA and Meet the Grahams. People took everything said on those tracks as gospel. Kendrick really made up an imaginary daughter and everybody ran with it. :dead:

Do you think Ether woulda hit the same if Nas said Gloria Carter she raised a horrible person with a gambling addiction and a fake daughter instead of calling Jay-Z a dikk riding fakkit who loves the attention? :dead:

People are sick of Drake. This is really all it boils down to. All these songs wouldn't have charted and caught on like this if Kendrick was sending shots at J. Cole instead. It's like a counter culture moment.
There were lies in ether though he wasn’t getting chased to his building among other things if you an ovhoe just say that shyt

The entire song reads like ducktales

:pachaha: @ Nas giving anyone a firearm, nonetheless a random affiliate rapper he knew through acquaintances or anyone calling Nas to help save them in the event they’re running through a building being chased :mjlol:

furthermore - Jay broke Nas career down to a math problem, highlighting the inconsistency in his catalog … in a way that literally reflects the exact same consistency of his own catalog as well

both of those guys literally couldn’t of had a more twin flame career

critically acclaimed debut, public disappointed by follow-ups until they invigorated each other for Stillmatic and Blueprint

i liked push ups and family matters.

however

taylor made freestyle and the heart part 6 are among the worst disses in the history of hip hop

i would even argue that taylor made freestyle is the worst diss ever made.

Drake the most famous artist to make fire music and then release some trash ass shyt that makes you wonder how he made it this far. The inconsistency is Legendary.

This here.

Respect can't be bought. Dudes in the game never really liked him. They always saw him as an outsider, but if he hopped on a record with them, it was good for business. But once they don’t need that anymore, they're good with telling him how they really feel about him. Even Wayne said he doesn't respect how Drake moves. So the people around him are usually either employees or just working for a quick check.

But nobody has ever actually respected him or really embraced him. Future called him a "f*cking lame" on video while touring with him!

When your mentor is getting at you, it’s a big issue….

Drake is a dikkhead with money. Dude is the living embodiment of the “Beat It, Chick” meme.

If Drake had stayed in his lane and not let the fame get to him, he would be better off.

Be humble. Even Jay-Z knew during his run that he had build relationships and allies.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
Drake's public rallying seemed weak compared to Kendrick's. Drake's global fanbase is huge but most of them weren't engaged.

This is where Drake fukked up in his rollout. Premiering the first track "Push Ups" with DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Akademiks was innovative and smart, but after that Akademiks was diminishing returns. What he should have done is premiere each track with a different radio station. He could have premiered "Family Matters" with a Toronto radio station and premiered "The Heart Part-6" with an NYC or LA radio station. That would, at least, have had all of Toronto tuning in, becoming engaged and rallying around him.
lol this sounds truly fukking awful

He could have called in too talking shyt. Just like how it used to be back in the day.

His city would have had the WHOLE WORLD tuning in…hell that’s what HIS RADIO station is for with Sirius.

:snoop: this man really didn’t think this shyt through..
Great point. Weird how Sound 42 on SiriusXM played no role in this war. He completely overlooked terrestrial radio and overlooked his own satellite radio station.

He could have turned Sound 42 into a destination the nights of premiering his disses. That could have boosted a lot of engagement, and he could have muddied the waters by indirectly dragging other people's names into the mix simply based on who's tracks the station played in the show that premiered the diss. He could have turned some buzzing rappers into stars and now suddenly they're doing interviews and getting reposted all over the place. People are suddenly taking about a lot of things. This added dynamic could have changed the dynamic of the whole war itself. We got the diet version instead.
