If Drake was really as popular as he perpetuated to be … Why was there no public outcry or voice of support?

Drake's public rallying seemed weak compared to Kendrick's. Drake's global fanbase is huge but most of them weren't engaged.

This is where Drake fukked up in his rollout. Premiering the first track "Push Ups" with DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Akademiks was innovative and smart, but after that Akademiks was diminishing returns. What he should have done is premiere each track with a different radio station. He could have premiered "Family Matters" with a Toronto radio station and premiered "The Heart Part-6" with an NYC or LA radio station. That would, at least, have had all of Toronto tuning in, becoming engaged and rallying around him.

Or maybe even a UK radio station. The more online-centric the beef was, the more Drake hurt himself. The strategy made no sense.

He fuçked up w/ the Taylor Made freestyle. He lost momentum w/ that AI shyt. Already had the West Coast beat why not bar that nikka up

Some people were probably pissed at the unauthorized use of a Tupac audible likeness, specifically. I imagine MANY people across all genres and disciplines were uncomfortable about the unauthorized A.I. audible likeness aspect in general. Drake touched a taboo and alienated more people in the industry.

There's a difference between fans of the music and industry support. He has a shyt ton of fans, that's undeniable. Industry wide a lot of people hate this dude and can't stand him, from rappers to execs and you can guess why.

End of the day most people just want to be entertained and Kendrick provided more entertainment than Drake. If the tables were turned and Drake cracked off a hit song clowning Kendrick we'd be having the opposite convo, wondering what happened to Kendrick's fans.

Drake makes catchy songs and his fan base only really care about a tune they can dance too which is why he decided to collaborate with Sexxy Redd of all people.

He doesnt make the type of music you can truly lose yourself in based on the lyrical content, at least not anymore. Maybe when he first started, I don’t know. But he’s just as manufactured as Taylor Swift.

Kendrick has more depth to his music and people who have been looking for that can resonate with him better.

Drake is going to be the pop star always just like Taylor swift and their music will get the minions jumping and dancing but it really doesn’t mean anything anymore. They just want a hit record.

No one is going to race to their rescue the same because why? They’re big enough to deal with it themselves. Their fans don’t care. They will argue on social media and cry because their fave is getting attacked but in reality, we all know, they are two of the biggest stars in the world and as long as they have those numbers, they will always have a one up.

Taylor swift Stan’s are going to be dealing with Drake Stan’s next since he has the biggest streaming numbers, lol. Now that’s going to be a fun thing to witness.

Its like this....

Imagine if PM Dawn rode every wave from G Funk to Boom Bap NYC hip hop, fukked every celeb's wife or dimepiece from Barkley to MC Hammer, and switched from peace to wanting to pull out the gat and BLASTTT.

Would you blame the majority of the industry allowing KRS to not only throw the fukkers off-stage along with diss them to oblivion?

Public outcry over a rap diss battle?
This is not an issue that the general public is aware of or cares about.
They are too busy dealing with $15 fries.

This too.

Like we are in a troublesome era of illusion from celebrities doing Uber because there's no money in this game no more, along with inflation putting the knee against the back on folks.

Why rally for a Canadian that plays more sides than his own lane?

1. Drake has the princess syndrome like many of his peers and that has probably rubbed folks the wrong way

2. Industry Cats nvr really rocked with him, just tolerated him. Look at Rick Ross for example

This here.

Respect can't be bought. Dudes in the game never really liked him. They always saw him as an outsider, but if he hopped on a record with them, it was good for business. But once they don’t need that anymore, they're good with telling him how they really feel about him. Even Wayne said he doesn't respect how Drake moves. So the people around him are usually either employees or just working for a quick check.

But nobody has ever actually respected him or really embraced him. Future called him a "f*cking lame" on video while touring with him!

Imagine talking about paying for fukking french fries as being a dominant issue. The complaints in this era are weak as fukk. :mjlol:

When I was growing up, we never got fries cause we couldn't afford them and they were like $1 or $2 back then. Somehow we managed to make it into adulthood anyway. If you can't afford fries, then DON'T BUY FRIES and move on with your life.

There's like 8 Drake threads on the first page of the booth including this one....that should tell you all you need to know.

There's really no difference between his fans and haters. Both keep his name in the forefront, and both give him streams and views. All the same shyt in the end :manny:
