He was a B level star playing with C & D level talent in the stacked West :dahell:

I was unimpressed. Mainly because people were hyping him up... Yet one playoff appearance, so i was skeptical.

But playing with Kyrie, he will have to play behind him alot when he returns a la K Love style

you could have not watched any college or NBA basketball and say anything negative about Hayward.

the cat getting props under duress for forty feet deep from three in the title game of this very Gen is Hayward.

just stop, the fake militant from chasing amy act on this one.
the fact is, the kid is factually a great player.
including,...
dude was/is a great player and arguably the best performer in the NCAA title game.
as a complete grassroots no name of any color or creed in this Gen.
him and his coach are the last few full pedigreed guys in this Gen in bball and proof having pedigree and an actual bball IQ in the low IQ era is beyond golden. Especially when applied to a player with standard attributes and how when applied.
will tilt those attributes into being a consistent astounding player.

salute to this kid, and I hope he returns even better to the game.

Joe was recognized as a good player in his time, he was just competing in a stacked wing era

no Joe Johnson got lazy.
then denied playing his natural.
of which is the position he had his most success and dynamic play.
to consistently sway a playoff series away from a hotly contested atmosphere.
with no experience on a level that was past Steve Nash's brain trust and experience.
to a better contract and less work load, and a position change.
which took away his ability to create the emotional swaying style of play that afforded him an upgrade in pay grade.
along the way he can still hit a game winner if called upon and is this gen's most deadly late shot game changer.
yet and still Johnson is nowhere near potentially what he should have become originally before abandoning his natural position.

Giannis is who you left out.

Hayward is clearly a top-10 small forward and has an outside shot of being top-5 one day if he continues improving.

I didn't expect this coming in - thought he was getting too much credit for Butler's success which was really due to coaching, and I thought their trip to the championship the next year proved me right. But he's really proved himself in this league, and I gotta give him props where they due.

Hope he gets back to 100%. :sadcam:

He's gotten better and better every year and is one of the best at his position. He earned his recognition. FOH.

fukk outta here lol. This isn't the NFL, white players in the NBA have to prove they're good before they get their props. Hayward is fantastic.
