Um...by getting people to go out and vote for people who support doing that? Also, by appointing people to his cabinet with no ties to Wall Street that will be hard on enforcement. Appointments are also policy.
Yup. THat and the power of veto. At a bare minimum the establishment that has been polarized would then need to communicate and cooperate to push its agenda.

Nearly everything Sanders supports has support by 70% or more of Americans. It is a matter of mobilizing people, and people vote straight ticket. I actually voted for Hillary to win this caucus in Iowa if you look at the votes so I'm no blind optimist. But Sander's run is important. It lets the Democratic Party know that the young people in their party, the future of their party, are considerably more to the left than their predecessors and that shows no sign of changing. The idea of people getting more conservative as they get older is pretty much dead. All the studies have contradicted it. If someone like Sanders does not win now, he will within the next 20 years.

80% of those between 18 and 29 just voted for Sanders. He won 65% of those within the next bracket up to 34. America is moving left. It's just unfortunate that they're all in large metropolitan areas and gerrymandered districts. I'm waiting for a politician to be bold enough to make election day a holiday. Make all election days holidays and tell cats to go vote and they get some sort of 5 dollar voucher or some shyt. It would be a wrap for the right and center-right.

Sanders' is an impotent ideologue, which I am perfectly fine with. He has sparked some dialogue, and if he wins he will be vehemently obstructed by Congress which would minimize the damage the Federal govt would do over his term. That is OK with me. There is zero leadership up for grabs in this election.... all I am hopeful for is that whoever gets elected will do the least damage.

What's your point about Obama? :stopitslime: He turned out to be a pragmatic and I have nothing but respect for that.

Bernie Sanders would be an absolute flop as a president. Jimmy Carter 2.0. He's incredibly naive for a man his age. The country is bigger and more complicated than little Vermont.
i'll ask again, since you neatly dodged the question :heh:;

who would you prefer wins?

Now that widespread poverty is a white issue GOP is under the gun.... the timing is pretty serendipitous

Bernie is a one trick pony though.... income & wealth inequality is important AF but it's not everything. Ask him about anything else and he is :whoa: :sadcam: :unsure: :bryan: But there are enough people angry at the rich for that to possibly carry him over the threshold

I always took Bernie to be a one issue candidate that would make enough noise to hurt Hillary a bit and make her move toward his views on his issues, like Hillary did to Obama on healthcare.

Ultimately, Bernie doesn't have that long time support from Democratic voters. Hillary has much more support among everyone over 30, minorities, and women. That'll mean a lot in every other state. Bernie will probably win NH but that's it.

You told no lies but it's unfortunate that minorities have no choice but to vote DEM. :francis: I hate what the Republican party has become. This is very harmful to this country's well-being and democracy. No party has a monopoly on good ideas.

Hilary isn't too far behind him in age and this point makes no sense anyways. Its a bigger cop out than "he wont get anything passed."

She's only 68. :comeon:

She's like SIX years younger than him, that's a huge difference. Women also age better/have a longer life expectancy.

And how the fukk is it a cop out? :stopitslime: Pictures do not lie. All our recent presidents have been fukked up after just a few years in office. (Clinton, Obama, Bush...)
