I remember when Howard Stern and Em were both launching their stations on Satellite radio around the same time mid 2000's. Only difference is that Howards earnings were made public but there isnt much out there about Ems earnings. There isn't even a Wiki page which I believe was done on purpose. I'm assuming its because Shade45s success would really look like another case of the whiteman eating off of Black culture yet again. Tho I cant front, irregardless of Em being a respectable emcee and still being a big deal in the mid 2000's, it did look kind of off that such a platform would go to Em first and not someone like a Funk Master Flex or a P Diddy (Thats why I feel that on the low Diddy had to do something to counter Shade45's success and the end result was Revolt TV). And Shade45 is still popular till this very second. I doubt Em got anything close to what Howard was getting annually but i wouldnt be suprised if it was around that range. Not counting that mans money like that but as popular as the station is, I do respect how there is little info out there about how much Em gets for Shade45. Its one of the best examples of "Quiet Money."

Shade 45 is the best station Sirius has to offer(for hiphop heads at least) Sway in the morning and All out show make this station what it is though.

In regards to everything, anytime a talented white artist delves into black dominated genres they will always rise to be top dog. One because mainstreams corps love that take over shyt, and secondly because causal fans who are white now have an artist they can identify with, so regardless of how the artist sounds they will get recognition for it. But the artist has to have exceptional talent or they will never really rise to the mainstream eye.

Em had leverage because he came around the TRL days and he had Dre backing him. Dude couldn't lose. In today's game though they have make white artist into stars, like they tried to do with Iggy Alzea until she was black balled.

That comment didnt even make sense.

What part of.....

Not counting that mans money like that but as popular as the station is, I do respect how there is little info out there about how much Em gets for Shade45.

.....did you not understand???

I'm gonna spell it out for you since it went over your head.....

With 50Cent and his current bankruptcy issues and then you add that Blac Youngsta/Wells Fargo incident, you'll notice that Em doesnt follow in the tradition of being a rapper who brags about his paper yet he's caking over pretty much every rapper and that stands out.

I'm speaking on how there being little to no info on how much money Em makes from Shade45 being a good thing.

Not really.

Sirius used Howard to kick off the idea for people to switch. His deal is/was crazy. With out Howard Stern making that move we might not have any Sirius let alone a SiriusXM merger. That means no Shade45.

Though I am sure Eminem gets paid well off the channel. It is one of their more popular stations.

Feminem makes 30 million a year.

He didn't make much money in his prime since his money had to go through Jimmy and Dre to get to him. Which is why he got 50.

In 2005 I did a High School presentation on how Howard Stern and Eminem had legitimate loyal fan bases who could give Sirius the subscribers they needed out the gate :salute:

:snoop:

howard stern brought a few million subscribers to sirius alone his first year over there back in 2006. his contract more than pays for itself. eminem isn't bringing in subscribers like that. hell, he's RARELY even on his own channel.

let's be reality here. when howard came to sirius he had a syndicated show with over 20M listeners daily, which means as the MOST listened to radio personality at that time, he was gonna warrant a ridiculous salary to move to satellite.

howard has quietly been making more money than damn near every A list actor for 20+ years due to the massive audience that his show has.

I dont think he was getting anything near 80 mil annually, that would be impossible because Howard himself was bringing his personality unlike Em but the fact that Howard did a re up years later and for Shade45 to still be succesful at the time I assume that Em also got some sort of renewal with heavy compensation somewhere down the line..especially after the renewed success of Recovery proving that Em was still a hot item. As you said..its one of their more popular shows so there has to be some sort of compensation. I say that because of that situation where Hot 97 was strong arming Black artists for years to do their Summer Jam show for free or their songs wont get played only for Em who never needed Hot 97 to be offered $300,000 to do SummerJam....I know low key a lot of Black artists were hating on that(hell, even Mr "I held you down for 6 summers" Jay Z spoke about it low key on "99 Problems""Got beef with radio if I don't play they show/They don't play my hits well I don't give a shyt SO"). If Hot97 is willing to spend that kind of paper for a show where they strong arm artists to play for free then that alone tells me that Em had some wide open doors for serious(no pun intended ) paper around that time. The fact that his earnings for Shade45 are unknown gives more weight to that theory.

Stern sued Siris a couple times because they didnt want to pay up.

The deal Em has is probably completely different because he isnt a personality that host a show every day.
They are just using his name to get attention.

You cant compare Funk Flex & Puff to Em...Wether you like him or not, is the early/mid 00's Eminems name had a much larger reach.
