Y'all nikkaz is soft......at age 10 I was watching Scarface goodfellas and playing mortal kombat but with that said I probably wouldnt let my child play GTA 5 but I don't have a child so I can't really comment

Well, I used to watch Rated R movies when I was young with my moms. I remember a lot of them vividly. This was during the time where there were a lot of black movies being put out, and they were a lot realer than they are now. Now, the only black movies that come out are comedies or some shyt. I have to look at when the movies came out, but I think I had to be like 9 through 12...

I'm sure there are more, my moms was a movie buff and I would tag along or we would watch the bootlegs together. We had a dope relationship so I would just ask her whatever, and we would talk about it. Even if it was something from the movies. It wasn't like I was off by myself watching this shyt though. And it wasn't having a negative impact on anything that I did. I always had great grades in school, played sports my entire life, and I had a good childhood... a few rated R movies didn't sway me to go be ODog or go kill some nikkas and fukk some bytches... the problem comes in when there's no parenting/monitoring going on... this song/video sums it up for a lot though...

But as for letting little kids play a game like GTA? I don't know, I wouldn't let my kid play that (I don't have any yet but I'm just sayin') A game is far more interactive than a movie is. Both are different forms of media, but I don't know, kids can get hooked to video games and spend too much time on them, so I would be harder on them getting wrapped up into games than watching a movie with me right there next to them.
shyt sounds like the kinda set up ma dukes and I had. I remember her taking me with her to see Fly II in theaters when I was like 4. She just told me cover my eyes if I got scared, lol. I went to sleep like five minutes into the movie.
As a parent of a 9-month old girl and a 13 yr. old girl, I'd say for letting kids play a hyper violent and sexualized game like GTAV, it all would really just depend on the maturity level of the child and just how impressionable they truly were. Moms let me play and watch pretty much whatever by 10, but that's cuz we were real close and she knew damn well I wasn't doing stupid shyt, but knew about the violent or sexual things I may have seen tv. I've been letting my niece play Saints Row since she was 12 and they're pretty much the same type of game as GTA. Granted, with her, she came from a fukked up childhood as is (and don't think we can necessarily shield her from shyt that she's already been exposed to long before living with us or make matters any worse, tho we still set guidelines to abide by), but handles herself mostly accordingly as far as that level of shyt goes. As for when my own daughter gets that age, it would just depend on how she acted all threat till then. Though tbf, at first glance , 10 does sound a bit early for the average kid with that, maybe even moreso with a girl (fukk all that 'girls mature faster than boys' nonsense, they got way more at stake).
