How does one even break into investment banking outside of going to an ivy league school and/or having the right connections?
It just seems like unless you're a quant, that field is basically a good ole boys club.
Well you need to go to a good school, get good grades, and interview well. That's a rat race in and of itself. It's less meritocratic than engineering and medicine for sure.
