Yeah, mos def. His worldview is entirely that of an Afro-Caribbean man despite being Scottish as well. I like how he's fully able to understand and articulate both his identities as a Jamaican and Scottish man and come from a view of blackness if that makes sense. He has an understanding and awareness that alot of full black folk don't have.

I had to look this up because I was a bit skeptical about him saying more Slaves were brought to the Caribbean than the US. Seems like theres some truth to this.

I believe it. (I was gonna write "it's absolutely true" but I couldn't fix my fingers to.)

I read that Brazil couldn't breed slaves cause they were grinding niqqas up damn near. Working them to death and buying more. shyt is insane.

Not to say any form of slavery was good, but America bred slaves cause they were relatively "well" cared for (? I'm automatically repulsed by the concept of well cared for slaves but I have no better way to put it).

I learned about this and the Arab slave trade as a damn near 40 YO man. And I graduated college. You would think that they would teach this stuff.
