It would still be a great album, but I think this generation of rap fans would dismiss it as rappity rap. We are currently in the "Turn Up" era of hip hop. Not too many people wanna hear bars, which is kinda sad.

Used to be a huge Nas fan, but Illmatic was never my favorite album from him. I was only 9 when it came out, about 16 by time I could understand it, 21 when it really made sense as a classic album, just didn't ever connect with it.

Though he is probably my favorite Rappers I've ever seen live, I'm from NYC, but seen him in Philly and he kilt it.

if it was still a naS album it would be a cult "classic" that no one really gives a fukk about except stans
