Am I the only one who never really thought Renegade was that good? I never listen to that song. I always thought that beat was trash. Life's a bytch on the other hand is a classic song. I prefer AZ's verse but I can't argue if prefer Nas's, both are incredible

I'd said it for years, AZ's verse on Life's A bytch is the most memorable and well known verse on Illmatic. Also arguably the best debut verse of all time.

I'd say NY State of Mind opening verse gets that distinction
