If Kyrie Irving never plays another game, is he a Hall of Famer?

Is Kyrie a HOFer if he retires now?

I think the timing of his chip will negatively affect his perception

Honestly, I'd put D Rose in the HOF right now way before even thinking about Kyrie.

We're both using hypotheticals because I'm assuming LeBron returns back to Cleveland regardless since the Heat lost in 14. Even still, he both omitted 07 so he'd still be 2-5 without 2016.

No matter how y'all keep slicing it 2016 is greater. Y'all got me sounding like a Kyrie stan :unimpressed:

But here's the thing... one player has great success (LeBron) with a lot of different moving parts.. the other's only success came with LeBron and that's really all i was saying.

The Boston years don't help. The team goes all the way to the ECF and a game 7 at that without you but the next year the team fails miserably and you have a terrible shooting slump to go with that failure..

I don't disagree with you that Kyrie the Alpha ain't it but that doesn't mean I'm gatekeeping him out of the HOF either.

I'm not comparing Kyrie and LeBron

No.

Him hitting that shot makes him borderline, but the grudge that will be held against him, would kill off whatever chance he had.

He'll probably get in for that shot and that ring, and for his talent obviously. But up until now his post-Lebron career really ain't all that. His last worthwile moment was basically in 2016 if you really think about it. His first team post-Lebron did better without him than with him, and his time in Brooklyn has been a mess ever since he got there. Plus he's injured like half of the time and DECIDED not to play this season so far. All of that will also come into play. Best ability is availability (or whatever the saying is). Great talent though.

He was extremely overrated before he started this aggressive campaign to defame himself but he’s still an obvious HOFer.
