My Completion: "...He moves ahead of Jay, SOLID, on the all time list"
My reasoning: Wayne's last REAL album, Carter 4, already sold more than MMLP2 the first week..... (I'm not gonna hold this against Em, 2 years apart... Climates might be different... But MMLP2 had a RIDICULOUS promo push and didn't crack a mil...)
People always say, "Eminem sales the most cus he's white" blah blah blah... Which is somewhat definitely true....
So If Wayne can do something that NOBODY has EVER done, come out and outsell Eminem in years that are close together (not to mention Carter 4 outsold it)... He has to put placed in a new category....
Jay couldn't do it... 50 couldn't do... Kanye couldn't do it... Nelly couldn't do it....
Nobody has EVER done it, cus we place Eminem sales in a separate category cus he's "White"...
So if Wayne can finally slay the "Monster", he's bumped ahead of Jay on the all time list... All he has to do is push 800k with Carter 5, and I'm sure he'll find a way to do 950 to 1milli again

first week numbers are of such importance in the rap genre because it is a disposable music genre. Most rap albums sell more than 50% of the records they will ever sell in their first week.
Eminem is not locked into this pattern because he is not historically viewed by the industry and his fans as disposable. This is why katy perry, britney spears, or really any artist of any other genre really dont sweat first week sales.
Eminem first week sales typical account for less than 20% of his albums total sales... he is in a completely different genre of music from an industry and sales standpoint.
Ohhh and anyone who rates their favorite artists based on their sales is not a hip hop fan.
