They are making money and getting gifts more homes and devices, so, if that's what you want to call it, then yes. He let Phil spend billions and billions buying Bethesda and all those other studios, so he's still on board for the time being. Remember, MS' success doesn't totally hinge on Xbox, THE DEVICE like Sony and Nintendo. Xbox the ECOSYSTEM is doing what they want, and Xbox is just a part of that. Would I prefer they make 100% true exclusives only for XSX? Yes, but that's not what they're doing Nintendo broke out and did different shyt and won, MS can too.

• Microsoft seems interested in catering to "Halo-ass Halo fans". He thinks non-fans will just see it as "more Halo" and thus he's worried the reception might be bad.
• He expects E3 to be multiplayer-focused.
• If they do new multiplayer modes like Battle Royal, that'll probably be down the road, this will probably be things Halo fans know and love like Capture the Flag at launch.
• Doesn't expect a huge, long deep dive into Halo at E3. They're busy finishing the game, not E3 assets, which take a lot of time away from development.

Im cool with this. Theres a reason 4 and 5s population dropped off a cliff compared to halo 3. For example, by a year after 4s launch, 6 year old Halo 3 had a higher multiplayer population.


As of now, The MCC version of Halo 3(a port of a now 14 year old game) got a higher population than Halo 5.
