However history books doesnt always tell the full story. Some lessons are better taught from parents to child so maybe thats where you go the info that you base this on.

they may have had different views and methods but they were both trying to further the same cause. The advancement of black people.

my problem is that you are treating black leaders like they play on rival teams. rooting for one and rooting against another.
you should be rooting for both.
