so sad. And one of the reasons i cringe when i hear any white person misuse of his quotes.And the reason he died was the reason X died...he tried to go at the UN for crimes against African Americans during slavery and for reperations. Why is this seldom discussed?

Although I disagree with his earlier turn the other cheek philosophy I respect him and the other civil rights activists for at least standing up. It took courage in the 1950s and 1960s for black people to try to be treated as human beings. Brothers and sisters died or risked death for us to do things that we take for granted today. Although I believe separation between black and white is the best solution I am grateful for the sacrifices he made for us.
Dr. King was not the same man in 1968 that he was in 1963. He was changing his stance on things. He was making in roads with the anti-war movement and Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam. He was starting to wake up from his dream but was murdered.

He wasnt nearly as finished at what he was doing as people thought. when his thinking started to become dangerous to whites, and was what i feel is the true path for us, cacs killed him. Now our destiny is just stuck in limbo.
