Another thread where dullards, brandishing the sword of deluded "empowerment" turn and lambast their own people as knuckle dragging simpletons over their choices of entertainment.

Let's just ignore the fact how various drug epidemics from both white and black communities came to prominence before it was highlighted in the media.

Let's also ignore the many fallacies in this argument and broad sweeping generalizations that because someone is listening to an urban station they 1) must be black 2) must be prone to be committing crimes thru this and not the many underlying factors which then manifest into someone committing a crime or living a preconceived "degenerate" lifestyle.

Let's also act like people are still heavily depending on terrestrial radio in 2017 for new music also :bryan:

Same shyt, different year, coli fukkboys gonna play smart for daps :russell:

you don't think pop heads complain about how the music has changed and gotten worse? you think that only happens with hip-hop?

promiscuity isn't promoted in pop music? drugs aren't promoted? materialism isn't promoted in pop music? please go to a dance party that's not hip-hop and see for yourself. pop/dance music has gotten significantly worse, sonically and content wise. shyt ain't frankie knuckles no more.
Man you can't listen to these cats that low key on some they better blacks than the next man kick. For all this music is evil talk lets see the difference between them and the avg dude that listens to the music so we can see whats what. When these same posters for the most part right on the same level as the poison music listeners we know its all bullshyt trying to make themselves look/feel better then.

WTF is a "white" station exactly? Do you mean pop stations? Its peculiar to ask why pop stations dont play the same music as urban, hip hop stations. Although there is a bit of overlap in terms of artists featured they are completely different formats. Thats why. Its like asking why contemporary pop stations dont play more Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix like classic rock stations do.

These threads always feature the same tired talking points, and crude stigmatizing of black music and the black listener as irredeemably ignorant. Its like ya'll are channeling the spirit of Bill O'Rielly out here.

I was on vacation last week, and we had a shuttle bus that took us from hotel to our destination every day. The shuttles primarily played the "urban" station, and I generally heard artists like Bruno Mars, Bey, Drake, Cole, Sean, Kendrick, Weeknd, Party Next Door, Ri, etc...wasnt this den of violence and savagery. Get over yourselves.

Some folks need to be criticized as knuckle dragging simpletons though. Both the artists and the listeners. Then again an argument can be made saying why bother calling them out as simpletons because they make themselves look foolish all by themselves. Again, that applies to both the artist and the listener. I'd be ashamed if my kid grew up to be Young Thug, or imitated such a buffoon. Both examples make the positive case for abortion.

shouldnt this tell you its all music and not just a black problem. ignore proof to prove a point brehs. :russ:

buh buh buh, only black people promote drugs

buh buh buh only black peoples talk about having sex

buh buh buh only black music promotes bad family homes

buh buh bu only black music is negative.

massa so nice and pure and happy and creative. wes should be mo like massa yalls :gucci:

white people could be a song about suicide and nikkas would be like "wow, these guys are so creative and artistic".

Bro ima let you cook with the songs you posted cuz I've already heard them before and none of them comes close to "young n1kka move that dope" maybe except the Posner joint which is a rarity on mainstream radio.

Also nobody is saying that only blacks make music about negativity but that's your way of making a point that wasn't being argued in the first place. You can't pull that one on me. I've seen it too many times.

Modern-day music is being used purposely to demonize the black image. Its being used to perpetuate the most negative stereotypes of black people and keep our reputation in the toilet bowl. This tactic has been used well before hip-hop ever existed. See "The Birth Of A Nation"

Your blind and ignorant right now. You'll see what's going on one day if you ever decide to learn about past history.

And there's 10X as many songs on urban radio with rappers calling each other "savages".

Now post mainstream cac songs glorifying lean, Xanax, percocets, promethazine, etc.

Post cac songs about bussin caps, dracos and outright murder.

Post cac songs about selling dope.

Post cac songs with gang affiliation references
Did you ever think that you care more about black artists referencing those things because you're more sensitive to it? :dwillhuh:

Because there's no way you're trying to tell me that cacs don't talk about debauchery in their songs :dwillhuh:

Lets be honest, while "white radio" isn't squeaky clean, it aint touching urban radio's level of ratchet, were too overt with it

im actually in grad school (undergrad in media production/research as well at a black school) and doing my research on ethnomusicology from an african-american perspective and theorizing the future of this based on past musicians and music research, spanning back to Africa, how it's progressed, been co-opted, social ramifications etc. no, it's not your clearly coveted professional googler degree but ill take it :francis:

funny thing is, more white people buy/consume rap than black people and it's always been that way. rap would not survive without white dollars. but ill let you tell the story.

im not saying hip-hop is a holy genre, just that its not the only genre that has been uprooted out of authentic intentions and now used to promote mass "negativity".
