No, scouts do not feel that way about him, he's going to be a 20/10 big yeah, but his defense is lacking and he's not a great rebounder or shot blocker. Again, he's drawing Al Jefferson comparisons which isn't a bad thing at all He's great on offense, defense is another question altogether and Embiid was expected to be great on both sides of the ball, he was going to go number 1 in much deeper draft.

You can teach defense, you can't teach shotblocking or being an elite interior defender and Okafor isn't going to get much taller, Embiid is 7'0" without shoes Okafor is 6'9.5" without shoes. Here's the thing, you're talking about Embiid's offense as though he was some bum on the low block, as far as moves and counters go he's more advanced there than Okafor, Okafor is better at using his body to create space in addition to having good moves.

How is he not on Okafor's level offensively when the whole idea of him being the top pick last year centered around the idea you could build a team around his offense and defense.

Embiid was #1 until he broke his foot when teams already had concerns about his back.

And Irving went #1 in a much weaker draft class.

Embiid was going number 1, the injury happened literally 1 week before the draft and his prognosis was 6-8 months missed, Kyrie was ready to go at the start of the NBA season how you're trying to compare the two is just
