YOUNG Jackie was a beast but you can see those stunts was crazy and as he got older he was slowing down, and even when he started making American films he was more or less taking it easy...:pachaha: Jackie give him all the credit in the world he made his legacy and solidified it...:wow: he's like 60 now why continue to risk his life?!?:pachaha:

I think there was an interview somewhere where after his first few US movies after he kinda peeped game and saw what the politics in Hollywood was.

He decided early on to use his American films to basically become cash cows to fund the movies he really wanted to make in China.

I really thought Tony Jaa had next but all it did was show how far Jet Li and Jackie Chan are above the rest of the field.
Jackie could pick entertaining scripts while he was in his prime. After Ong Bak and The Protector he picked terrible ass sequels :sadcam:Should've followed the Donnie Yen blue print at least:wow:

Yeah man, that road isn't for everyone. Tony Jaa seems happier making American and Chinese $$ and being a supporting actor. I remember he quit the last Ong Bak film because he was so stressed and they had to convince him to come back.

Donnie Yen was always the 2nd lead in the 90s. He had to take on TV roles and he wrote and directed his own films to get more experience as a leading man. Those films bombed, so he took on supporting roles and then his career didn't take off until his early 40s. Tony Jaa is nearing his mid 40s already...

Jackie's Net Worth is said to be $400 million. Guy has come a long way from being a stuntman working with Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon. Would I have loved to see more of Jackie's high energy, yeah, but in the end broken bones are broken bones, and I am sure Jackie has physical pain leftover from tons of broken bones.

Rush Hour 1 & 2 would like a muthafukking WORD Negro:ufdup:
ain't gonna lie, as a young jackie chan fanatic I did not like the rush hours at all initially :yeshrug:

they watered down his style too much. bunch of cuts during the fight scenes and they replaced all the crazy stunts with generic action movie explosions and shyt

I've grown to appreciate them for being great comedies now but as far as favorite jackie movies go they rank pretty low
