If Pac never signed to Deathrow....would he have achieved GOATNESS?

1. On one hand, Pac made very good music before going to Deathrow, but let's be real. Collabing with Daz/Dre/Quik production, the features from Snoop/Dogg Pound, the Deathrow big budget, the energy of the talent around him all helped Pac take AEOM to one of the GOAT level rap albums.

2. On the other hand, he'd likely still be alive if he never felt obligated to Suge the way he did for bailing him out. That jail interview he had showed him in a different mindset, but Suge charged him up and created a whole new Pac that was an enemy to himself.

Could he have made an AEOM caliber album without Deathrow affiliation? Over time, would he have made enough dope music apart from Deathrow to achieve GOAT contender status?

No. Deathrow elevated him tremendously.

He was more motivated and it enhanced what he was already known for image wise.

It was just a matter of time. Him signing to Death Row may have helped speed up the process but it was his drive and hunger more than anything and he had already delivered a classic with Me Against the World. He was already working with Johnny J and some other talented producers.

This might be somewhat true.

Regardless of whether he died tho, AEOM was regarded as a great album immediately. But the question is, without DR, could he have made such a great album as that and to a lesser degree Makavelli?

The album would have been even bigger if he could have did more videos. Regardless he had already become one of the "go-to" interviews for MTV because back then they actually reported opinions and drove intellectual discussion. MTV was a damn good network at that time and them and BET was already giving Pac an outlet.

When he gets out of jail whether it's Death Row or not, his next album was going to have a lot of faith behind it and people backing it. He was already a big controversial and divisive figure, a revolutionary to some and a guy who was scaring rich white politicians.

Pac had a lot of Mystique about him due to dying when he did and there not being too much social media to share his mistakes.

Pac and Deathrow together made him reach SUPER super stardom. The package.

i think so because pac was a great artist and he knew how to use what he had and make somethin' out of nothin'

by that i mean, look at how he he assembled those no name producers for the 7 day theory for example

he took some guys who were viewed as "wack" by some of their label mates and put them together and made a classic!

bruh just had a knack for writin', a great work ethic and he was a motivated and driven person with his music

i think pac could've still achieved "goatness" without death row however it may have taken a lil longer if he didn't have the resources at hand that he needed like he had when he got out and started workin' with death row right away

when he got home, he already had some beats waitin' on him. daz mentioned that in the vlad interview; how back then, when it was album time, they took whatever they all had been workin' on and put it together. so havin' that team and a cast of players workin' together help tremendously

and with that, you had a hungry pac. pac was ready to get back at everyone who he felt had done him wrong and death row gave him that platform that no one else could have in that moment in time to do and say shyt the way he wanted too or felt like he needed too

not sure what elevated pac, it seems like a sum of a whole lot pieces. if he was alive he might have slowed down on the music and go further into movies. it's hard to know. he might not have ever done as much music as he did with death row otherwise
