I didn't read all the comments, but I'm gonna give it a shot...

If pinnochio said "my nose will grow right now if I lie" that would be the truth. Flat out saying that his nose will grow right now is technically a lie because he did not state why it grows. Therefore, his nose will grow if he says the statement in the OP.

Technically, he still told a lie regardless of whether his nose grows. He did not let the other party know that it only grows when he lies. For example, if my mom asked me did I get the apples from the store and I say yes, knowing I have not been to the store yet. However, I make sure I buy the apples before she gets home. I lied earlier, but she still got her apples.
