its not a premier franchise

the other 3 teams in the NFC BEast are premier franchises. The Iggles are Minnesota Vikings status

They're the 7th most valuable franchise in the NFL. Granted the rest of the NFC East is 1,2 and 4, but they're far from Vikings status.

Houston are ranked above the Eagles, I dont consider the Texans a premier franchise but maybe you do?

ANd the Vikings have more Super Bowl appearances than the Eagles, and more HOFers who spent more than 4 years at the club too so I guess the Eagles are lower than them too.:whoo:

Each eagles game thread gets well over 1,000 replies yet they aren't a premier franchise?

Eagles are pretty much America's team at this point

i think when there talking about premier there talking about accomplishments

rings, hofs etc

philly really isnt a premier organization from a standpoint of accomplishments but financially yes because of their stadium

if your a coach with options why would you PICK the eagles?
There are only thirty-two teams. If you got fired, there's only so many options to do with your skills, take on another head coaching job, go down to offensive head or defensive head coaching job, go down to college coaching or become a TV color commentary analyst. That means there are only 32 head coaching jobs. If you want to move up into that position, someone has to quit, get fired, or die. NFL head coaching jobs pays pretty good. Even for the worst NFL team. It's a chance to turn a team around, even the worst team.
That's what coaching is about. You take it as a challenge. This is the same on the college level. You work with what you have. Player/students are always graduating and enrolling in the school. No two years are alike. On the pro level, your players get injured or get traded. You work with what you have.
These head coaches live a life of luxury. It's a high stress job but they live in the "nice" part of town in a big house, just like the top franchise players. No one does MTV Cribs at a coaches house, but they are living large. Even Div I college coaches of a major program get cash money.

Why would anyone want the Eagle's HC job? :dwillhuh:
I don't know, nice money to pay your bills, benefits, the majority of people don't know how to farm to grow their own food...

I love how you guys left out the "options" part

Yea Jim Zorn will take that job in a heartbeat :heh:
